MADISON, Wis. — Dane County Government Joe Parisi introduced Sunday that the county’s Small Enterprise Pandemic Help Program will obtain a further $10 million in funding.
“Small companies all through our group have taken a major hit through the COVID-19 pandemic, which has pressured many to quickly shut their doorways and query how they are going to keep afloat,” mentioned Dane County Government Joe Parisi. “Group curiosity in our grant program has been overwhelming because it first launched final month. We’re blissful to make this new funding in our partnership with Dane Purchase Native to present much more space companies the funding they should make ends meet throughout this unprecedented time.”
The grant program was initially introduced on April 1 and began with $250,000 to assist native enterprise keep afloat through the coronavirus pandemic.
4 days after the grant program was launched, Dane County officers increased its funding to $800,000 on account of excessive demand. Officers mentioned the grant program obtained 800 purposes in a single day when this system was first launched.
Dane Purchase Native is working to manage the funding from the grant program.
As of Sunday, Dane Purchase Native has awarded grants to 297 native companies within the Dane County space. Greater than $890,000 has been awarded.
Enterprise house owners can apply for the grant here. Purposes might be accepted by June 15.
