JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (WJHL) — Johnson Metropolis Faculties has introduced plans to honor Science Hill’s class of 2020.
The Johnson Metropolis Board of Training accredited the college’s plans Monday night.
The plans embrace honoring graduates with a senior recognition video and holding a conventional ceremony in June or July. College directors plan to carry a ceremony June 19-20 inside Freedom Corridor Civic Middle or Kermit Tipton Stadium. If the ceremony can not happen on that date, the college will host a ceremony on July 24-25, pending approval by native and state officers.
The varsity may host as many as six ceremonies if mandatory in response to Principal Todd Barnett. The ceremonies will probably be live-streamed.
The senior recognition video will embrace images of graduates and speeches from district and college directors. The video will probably be streamed on Saturday, Might 30 at 10 a.m.on Johnson Metropolis Faculties web site, social media channels, and JCTV (channel 192 on Constitution and channel 17 on Comcast). The video can even be made accessible to college students and their households as a souvenir.
The varsity system says whereas it hopes to have a conventional commencement ceremony, the ceremonies could possibly be eradicated on account of well being restrictions.
