GIRARD — Michael P. DePerro Sr., 103, peacefully handed away on Saturday, Might 9, 2020.
Michael was the son of Maria and Albert DePerro, born Dec. 29, 1916 and the brother of Jennie Giordano, Phil DePerro, Stella Moore, Nellie Vivona, James Alberti and Vita Rocco.
Michael was a World Struggle II veteran serving within the Military Corps of Engineers.
He was employed at Republic Metal for 44 years. Michael demonstrated an impeccable work ethic all through his profession by beginning as a laborer and retiring because the superintendent of Truscon Metal.
He was a loyal parishioner of St. Rose Church and an energetic member of the Knights of Columbus Society. His life was based mostly on a powerful Christian religion.
Michael will probably be remembered because the patriarch of the household and a “craftsman” of assorted trades. He unselfishly and unconditionally gave of his time, expertise, assist, steering and lasting love. Michael had an excellent zest for all times and was an avid golfer. He took nice enjoyment in attending his great-grandchildren’s varied sporting occasions and actions. His household will treasure his treasured loving reminiscences, mirror on his boundless knowledge and rejoice within the numerous blessings that he bestowed. Michael was actually an inspiration in all points of his life.
Michael cherished 74 years of marriage together with his bride, Elizabeth “Betty” Tedesco, whom he married on July 4, 1941. The couple was blessed with a son, Dr. Michael P. (Marie) DePerro Jr., and a daughter, Joanne DePerro (Felix) Carmello. His grandchildren, Roklyn (Dan) Turner, Lysa (Jeff) Papa, Dayna (PJ) Milligan, Dr. Michael P. DePerro III, Anthony (Kimberly) Carmello and Jason (Jennifer) Carmello; and great-grandchildren, Rocco, Dante and Myla Turner, Anthony, Mykel and Sophya Papa, Patrick and Daniel Milligan, and Leona, Felix and Gianna Carmello, had been his “delight and pleasure.”
A Christian Memorial Mass to commemorate his life will probably be scheduled at a later date.
