Mr. James Michael “Mike” Dwyer, age 83, of Gloversville, handed away Friday, Could 29, 2020 at Nathan Littauer Hospital Nursing House, Gloversville.
Mike was born on March 9, 1937 in Saratoga Springs, N.Y., the son of the late James W. and Leona M. Dwyer. He graduated from Immaculate Coronary heart Academy in Watertown, N.Y. and went on to earn a BS in Arithmetic from LeMoyne School in Syracuse, N.Y. Whereas in faculty, Mike served within the US Navy Reserves. Upon commencement, Mike served within the US Military as an anti-aircraft missile hearth management technician in Alaska. He achieved the rank of Specialist fifth class earlier than leaving the service and returning to N.Y.
In 1963, Mike started a 27-year profession with GTE (later ConTel and now Verizon). He served in varied supervisory and administration roles in a number of districts earlier than assuming a place within the Johnstown workplace as a Programs Analyst — Community Circuits, the place he remained till his retirement in 1990.

Along with his mother and father, he was predeceased by his beloved spouse of 38 years, Linda Tait Dwyer, and sister, Maureen Pooler.
