BRANDON TOWNSHIP, Mich. – An area Brandon Township official is getting some backlash after his newest Fb submit. Many stated the submit was offensive and Trustee Robert Marshall is a racist.
“It began off as a Fb submit and like I stated I discover nothing controversial in any respect,” stated Robert Marshall.
Marshall, a trustee for the Brandon Township, is speaking about his newest Fb submit. It stated partly, “The falsehood that black are in overwhelming numbers disproportionately killed by white cops is demonstrably false.’
“Two weeks in the past, that they had a, I name it a Black Lives Matter demonstration, however there wasn’t a black face within the crowd. They’re all white,” stated Marshall.
The group Marshall is referring to is known as the Ortonville Peaceful Anti-Racism Alliance. A member of the group stated they gathered to ship a message that racism just isn’t welcomed there. It’s a message they stated Marshall didn’t perceive. That’s as a result of Marshall stated the Black Lives Matter Group or motion is a hate group.
“These persons are advocating for violence towards cops,” Marshall stated. “The backlash that I’ve gotten is primary I’m a racist. Nothing may very well be farther from the reality.”

Marshall is up for re-election in November.
