Urbana field hockey, Oakdale and Walkersville girls soccer and Oakdale boys soccer all won Central Maryland Championship games on Saturday.
At Friday’s CMC cross-country championships, Frederick’s girls and Urbana’s boys captured overall team titles, while Tuscarora’s Justin Banks was the overall boys champion.
CMC Large School Championship
Caroline Atwill scored to lead the Bears over the Titans at Tuscarora High School.
Oakdale goalie Cara Robell had four saves.
CMC Small School Championship
Walkersville 3, Boonsboro 1
Samantha McDonough had two goals to lead the unbeaten Lions over the Warriors at Smithsburg High School.
CMC Large School Championship
JD Feaster scored on an assist from Wilbur Ricketts early in the second half to lead the Bears over the Hawks at Tuscarora High School.

North Hagerstown 3, Urbana 1
The Hubs beat the Hawks at Tuscarora High School. No other information on the match was made available.
Amanda Talbott had three goals to help the Hawks beat the Knights at Tuscarora High School.
Kaitlyn Mogar had two assists, while Hannah Milor had one. Goalie Aurora Kling had two saves.
Tuscarora’s Justin Banks was the overall boys champion at the Central Maryland Conference meet at Boonsboro on Friday, while Frederick’s girls and Urbana’s boys won overall CMC team titles.
Running against athletes from the CMC’s Large School and Small School divisions, Banks won with a time of 15 minutes, 52.9 seconds on the three-mile course.
Frederick’s girls won the CMC overall team crown with 62 points. Second-place Urbana had 100 points. The Cadets beat the Hawks in the Large School standings, too.
The Cadets’ top five in the overall race included Caroline Gregory (second place), Amelia Slagle (fourth), Ysebelle Soto (11th), Juliana Brawner (19th) and Yasmeena Hassen-Friess (26th).
Urbana’s boys won the overall CMC title by beating second-place North Hagerstown 53-75. The Hawks beat the Hubs in the Large School division, too.
The Hawks’ top five in the overall race included Anthony Verdi (fifth), Will Landon (sixth), Korey Kauflin (11th), Riley Gallogly (15th) and Jackson Foster (16th). The Hawks’ Joshua Rothery placed 19th.
Other Frederick County girls who finished in the overall top 25 were: Linganore’s Meredith Moyer (fifth), Zoe Lange (18th), Emily Stadter (20th) and Samantha Whitman (23rd); Oakdale’s Madison Chorney (sixth); Tuscarora’s Ava Elliott (seventh) and Elizabeth Young (eighth); Brunswick’s Reilly Teague (ninth); Urbana’s Maya Osher (13th), Anna Rodrigues (17th), Casey Willard (21st), Audrey Borleis (24th) and Ava-Grace Lee (25th); and Catoctin’s Jenna Conley (16th).
Other Frederick County boys who finished in the overall top 25 were: Oakdale’s Malakai Meertens (second), David Tressler (eight) and Sam Skinner (21st); Catoctin’s Gabriel Riling (fourth) and Santiago Canadas Fraga (14th); Linganore’s Cormac Moroney (10th) and Alex Adetolu (24th); Frederick’s Canton Wetzel (13th); Brunswick’s Sammy Joseph (17th); Middletown’s Garrett Howes (22nd) and Giovanni Rossi (23rd); and Walkersville’s Akash Hirpara (25th).
Riling won the Small School division title, helping the Cougars tie Middletown 51-51 in the boys team standings.
MSD 38, Mercersburg Academy 22
Dwayne Collins II rushed for 124 yards and two touchdowns on eight carries to help the Orioles get their seventh straight win.
Quarterback Zeke Ortiz completed four of five passes for 65 yards, including two touchdown passes to Jayden Orsi-Pedersen, and also ran for a touchdown for the Orioles (7-2) Mark Gwynn III had a 90-yard kickoff return for a touchdown.
Zavius Junc led MSD’s defense with 19 tackles. Ian Guetller had 11 tackles, while Josue Sanches had 11. Ortiz had an interception.
